Wei Chen

Wei Chen is a television journalist from Canada. She has worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and it's main rival CTV. In 2003, Chen surprised many by leaving CTV, where she was a national correspondent, to work for a local upstart station called Toronto 1, where she would host the station's morning news program.

The program, titled Toronto Today, was a bust and ratings were a disaster. It was cancelled after only eight months on the air. The majority of the staff was layed off, but Chen was re-assigned as a reporter for the primetime magazine program Toronto Tonight, where she continues to file investigative stories and fill in as host.
