Wageningen
Wageningen is a municipality and a town in the central Netherlands. It lies on the north bank of the Rhine. It received city rights in 1263. Hotel de Wereld in Wageningen was in 1945 the site of the German capitulation and the end of German occupation during World War II. This fact is remembered annually. Wageningen hosts the Wageningen University and Research Center, or Wageningen UR, which is often referred to as the Wageningen Agricultural University. External links
