Vinoba Bhave

Vinoba Bhave (September 11, 1895November 15, 1982) was a very respectable teacher who devoted himself to the land gifting movement. He and his followers made a peace walk across India that resulted in the gifting of 4 million acres of land. He helped Satish Kumar to undertake another peace walk.

Bhave was born in Gagode, Maharashtra. He died in Wardha, Maharashtra.

Vinoba was known for his Sarvodaya and Bhoodan movements.
