Ukyo Katayamaja:片山右京 Born 29th May 1963 Ukyo Katayama (片山 右京) is one of several Japanese drivers to try their hand at F1 without making a major impact. He first raced in Europe in 1986 in France before returning home to win the Japanese F3000 series in 1991 leading to a deal with the back-marking Larrousse GP team for 1992. Two 9th place finishes were his best but his sponsors bought him a drive with the Tyrrell team for 1993 when an unreliable and uncompetitive car failed to bring him any top ten finishes.
