Targu Mures

Târgu Mureş (also written Tîrgu Mureş; Hungarian: Marosvásárhely; German: Neumarkt) is a city in Mureş county, Transylvania, Romania, with a population of 149,000.

The city was first documented in 1332 in the papal registry under the name Novum Forum Siculorum.
