Sonic X

Sonic X is the newest Sonic the Hedgehog television series, based roughly on the storylines of Sonic Adventure series.

It was animated and produced in Japan with the partnership of Sega and the Sonic Team. In 2003, 4 Kids Entertainment licensed Sonic X for American television broadcasting and is currently airing on the Fox Box. The U.S. licensing is a joint effort between 4Kids and ShoPro Entertainment. Originally planned as a 52 episode series which would be inspired by the storylines of the Sonic Adventure games, this was expanded by another 26 episodes when the series proved to be more popular than expected.
