The currency of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. There are note denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 Som. There are no coins. Note designs have famous historical Kyrgyz individuals on one side and famous buildings on the other.

Som is also the Kyrgyz word for rouble.
