Singapore Armed Forces

The Army, Navy and Air Force of Singapore are a unified force under the name 'Singapore Armed Forces' (SAF). The SAF is under the jurisdiction of the republic’s Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). It is headed by a Chief Of Defence Force (CDF), a 3-star Lieutenant-General reporting directly to MINDEF. The CDF is aided by the three service chiefs, the Chief of Army (COA), Chief of Navy and Chief of Air Force, whom are 2-star Major-Generals.
