Shredder chess

Shredder is a very strong chess program developed by Stefan Meyer-Kahlen.

As of March 2004 it's the current World Computer Chess Champion (See World Computer Chess Championships).

It has won eight different World Championships in its history:

• Jakarta 1996: World Micro-computer Chess Champion.
• Paderborn 1999: Computer Chess World Champion and World Micro-computer Chess Champion.
• London 2000: World Micro-computer Chess Champion.
• Maastricht 2001: World Micro-computer Chess Champion.
• Maastricht 2002: Blitz World Champion.
• Graz 2003: Computer Chess World Champion and Blitz World Champion.
