Sexagenarian
A sexagenarian is a person in the age group of 60 to 69 years old. A sexagenarian of today is born between December 4, 1934 and December 4, 1944.
Sometimes all sexagenarians are considered to be senior citizens, and at the very least those in the second half of the decade (those over 65) are fit into this category. In some places, 60 or 65 is deemed as the age for retirement. Senior discounts are good for people in their sixties or older, although in some businesses senior discounts go all the way down to 55. The sixties is also the decade of life in which health problems related to an aging body may begin to appear.
