PetrocurrencyPetrocurrency is the currency of a country with oil to export, for instance, Saudi Arabian riyals. Pound Sterling has become a petrocurrency thanks to the North Sea oil exports. The Australian dollar does not fall in this category, since it does not export a significant amount of oil every year.
