History

• 1984 Daniel Gildenlöw formed the band Reality at age 11.
• 1991 The name Reality was changed to Pain of Salvation.
• 1994 Kristoffer Gildenlöw (then 16 years old) replaces Gustaf Hielm.
• 1996 Fredrik Hermansson joins the band.
• 1998 Daniel Magdic leaves the band and is replaced by Johan Hallgren.
• 2001 Daniel Gildenlöw forms part of the touring incarnation of Transatlantic, during their European tour.
• 2002 Daniel Gildenlöw appears as a guest member of The Flower Kings, providing vocals, guitar, keyboards and percussion, both on tour and on recordings.
• 2004 Pain Of Salvation headline ProgPower IV USA.
