Ostankino

Ostankino - architectural-art ensemble of the end of 18 century (a former near from Moscow mansion-residence of counts Nikolai Petrovich Sheremetev and Boris Petrovich Sheremetev; from 1918 Ostankino palace-museum of creativity of serfs).

Originally Ostankino was an ancestral lands of the clerk of the Ambassadorial order (Посольский приказ, in Russian) of V.Y. Shchelkalov, under him groves was planted, pond was dug and the constructions was built that was destroyed in the beginning of 17 century, during an epoch of Distemper. In 17 - the beginning of 18 centuries Ostankino was owned by princes Cherkasski under whom the church of the Trinity was built in Ostankino (1678-1692). In 1743-1917 Ostankino was the mansion of counts Sheremetev.

The basis of architectural ensemble of Ostankino is the complex taking place on one axis, connected with each other by the wooden constructions with the plastered facades (1791-1798, architect F. Kamporezi, P.I. Argunov, etc. - late classicism; modeling relief - F.G. Gordeyev and G.T. Zamaraev). The center of the Ostankino’s complex - palace-theatre with enfilades of living-rooms that is connected by low galleries to a concert hall in the "Egyptian" pavilion and with banquet - in "Italian". In the halls - a gilded groove (master I. Mochalin, masterful of P.P. Spol), type-setting parquets (master F.I. Pryakhin), crystal fixtures, collections of painting (including the art of I.P., N.P., and Y.I. Argunov), engravings, sculptures, furniture and so forth. The landscape park is partly saved (nowadays the Moscow park of culture and rest by the name F.E. Dzerzhinski; 1793-1795, architect A.F. Mironov and P.I. Argunov). Church of the Trinity (1678-1692, architect P. Potekhin) with a bell tower in pseudo-Russian style (1877-1878, architect N.V. Sultanov).

In troupe of the Ostankino theatre such as serf actresses played as: Zhemchugova, T.V. Shlykova.
