Office of the Secretary of Transportation Identification Badge
The Office of the Secretary of Transportation Identification Badge was a U.S. military badge of the Coast Guard which was issued until 2003. The badge was presented to any Coast Guard personnel who were assigned as permanent staff to the Secretary of Transportation. Such personnel who were awarded the Office of the Secretary of Transportation identification badge include the Coast Guard Commandant, military aides to the Secretary of Transportation, public affairs staff, and full-time support staff.
The Office of the Secretary of Transportation Identification Badge was declared obsolete upon the transfer of the Coast Guard from the Department of Transportation to the newly formed Department of Homeland Security.
