Napoleon OrdaNapoleon Orda (Belarusian: Напалеон Орда, Napaleon Orda) (February 11, 1807 -- April 26, 1883) is a Belarusian artist of Polish nationality. In his works he depicted landscapes, urban and rural architecture, churches and palaces of Belarus and Poland, as well as some places in Ukraine, France, Germany, Portugal. Napoleon Orda was born in Pinsk district of Minsk guberniya in a family manor (now the place is in the Ivanava district, Brest voblast, Belarus). His works are pencil sketches tinted with watercolour, gouache and sepia. He produced over a thousand drawings, most of them are kept in the Popular Museum, Krakow, Poland. Besides being of artistic value, they are a source for the history of Belarusian architecture. In 1997, a monument to Napoleon Orda was erected in Ivanava (scuptor I. Golubev).
