Innoko National Wildlife Refuge

The Innoko National Wildlife Refuge is a wilderness area in western Alaska in the United States.

The Innoko National Wildlife Refuge is in two parts. The northern part of the refuge, called Kaiyah Flats, is adjacent to the Yukon River southwest of Galena, Alaska. It contains 304,000 hecatres (751,000 acres). The southern part of the refuge contains consists the approximately 1,560,000 hectares (3,850,000 acres) of land surrounding the Innoko River. The land is swampy and is the nesting area for hundreds of thousands of birds and the home of black bears, moose, wolves and other furred mammals.

The refuge was established in 1980 by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act.

The refuge has no road access from outside and contains no roads.
