Haut-Rhin
Haut-Rhin is a French département, named after the Rhine river.
HistoryThe département was created during the French Revolution, 4 mars 1790 by using the law of 22 december 1789 on the southern half of the province of Alsace (Haute-Alsace). Its boundaries would become modified many times:
