HNoMS Valkyrien

The KNM Valkyrien, a frigate of the Royal Norwegian Navy was purchased from the Royal Canadian Navy in 1956 and was originally named the KNM Garm until 1965.

First Christened the HMCS Toronto (K538) on November, 25, 1943 at Lauzon, Quebec, Canada.

Decommissioned 27 November 1945. Recommissioned as a Prestonian class frigate with penant number 319 on 26 November 1953. Decommissioned on 14 April 1956. Became the Norwegian Garm in 1956. Renamed Valkyrien in 1965 and served until 1977.
