Greater Vit ria

Greater Vitória is an administrative entity made up of the following municipalities: Serra, Vitória, Vila Velha, Cariacica and Viana according to IBGE and it has an approximate area of 1.350Km˛, and an estimated 1,4 milion inhabitants.


Trends and Influences

The term Grater Vitória corresponds mainly to the are centered arround Vitória, the capital of Espirito Santo, Brazil. Today the gratest part of developement is occurring in the Serra Municipality, where many indusrties are building depots and factories. Those take advantage of the 3 Ports, Vitória Airport and the proximity to the ring road, which goes right though serra, to distribute their products. The closest area of influence is Rio de Janeiro, followed by Belo Horizonte, then perhaps Salvador, in terms of commerce and cultural links. Though links are being studdied with the state of Goias, and other interior locatios, in terms of product flow for export.
