Colombia at the Summer Olympics
The Colombian Olympic Committee sent a 51-member delegation to the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens. Although most of the athletes had uneventful participations, weightlifter Mabel Mosquera won the bronze medal for Columbia, while cyclist María Luisa Calle originally finished in the bronze medal position but was later disqualified under the strict liability rule after she tested positive for Heptaminol, a prohibited stimulant.
