Anita GarvinAnita Garvin (February 11, 1906 - July 7, 1994) was an American actress and comedienne who appeared in both silent and sound films. She is best known for her work with the comedians Laurel and Hardy and Charley Chase. Garvin was born in New York City. Later, she moved to California where she initially worked for the Christie's comedy unit. She then began working for the Hal Roach, where she appeared in many silent films with Chase. Garvin appeared in a total of eleven Laurel and Hardy films. In the early 1940's Garvin gave up acting to raise a family.
