Azerbajdzhan2698 Azerbajdzhan is a small main belt asteroid, which was discovered by astronomers at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in 1971. It is named after the Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan (now the independent Republic of Azerbaijan).
