Alkon
The Main belt asteroid 11169 Alkon was discovered by the Lincoln Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Ceres Connection program was established in partnership with Science Service (http://www.sciserv.org) to name minor planets for students selected through an essay contest. The winner requested his grandfather's family name be memorialized. Not much else is known about this probably fairly typical little asteroid. External link
